We liked our 'hotel' quite a bit. It's actually mostly timeshares,
but they do have rentable hotel rooms. This was the courtyard
out back.

Look who spent lots of time in the kitchen...go figure.

It was high livin'.

If you've never been to the National World War II Museum, it's
definately worth the trip. I don't want to post a lot here, just
enough to whet your appetites, get you to go yourself.

Here's Shauna, watching alertly for the US and British invading
forces from Normandy beach. (She's mostly German, you know...)

Luckily for our boys, this is all she saw...but wait...is that Tom Hanks?

They have a Spitfire, inside the museum. Kewl.

Apparently, we used inflatable trucks, tanks, and jeeps to fake
the German bombers and spy planes out, regarding our troop
locations. It would all be done in CG these days.

This is just incredibly moving. The place is full of things like this.

Time for a break, after WWII pics. This one was taken mainly for
Shauna's grandma. Hi Mary Lou! Look...hibiscus!

Megan, however, was inspired by the museum. Look out, Germany!

New Orleans cemetaries are eerily cool. They can't bury anyone in
the ground...the water table is too high, they'll just pop back up like
horrible embalmed poptarts. Honestly. So they have to put everyone
in crypts. Some of these are really quite old.

New Orleans is the land of Voodoo and zombies...so you gotta
take precautions with your loved ones.

Luckily, there are only 4 of them in town.

Yeah, we were all shocked, too. (What she sees in him, we don't
